Dr. Patil is a Medical Oncologist specialized in Paediatric Haemato Oncology. He completed his MBBS from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College Gulbarga Karnataka followed by MD (Pediatrics) RNT Medical College Udaipur, Rajasthan and Speciality Training from Kasturba Medical college, Manipal University. Also he has done special training in Primary immunodeficiency disorders and Pediatric BMT at Childrens Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, USA. His expertise in Paediatric Benign diseases for Hemoglobinopathies (Thalassemia, Sickle cell anemia), Bone marrow failure syndromes, Autoimmune diseases (ITP, AIHA, HLH), Primary immunodeficiency disorders, Difficult anemia, thrombocytopenia and pancytopenia, Bleeding and clotting disorders and Pediatric Malignant diseases for Leukemia (ALL, AML, CML), Lymphoma (NHL and Hodgkins), Bone and Soft tissue tumors, Renal tumors, Neuroblastoma, CNS tumors.   • Academic research project during paediatric haematology oncology fellowship (June 2012 to June 2014): A randomized crossover study comparing the antiemetic efficacy and safety of Palonosetron and Ondansetron in prevention of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting in children.

  • Resident project (July 2014): Worked for analysing the data of all patients under 18 years diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and treated with BFM-ALL 90-protocol form Manipal Hospital Bangalore over the past 10 years.

  • Resident project (September 2014): Worked for analysing the data of paediatric patients who underwent T cell replete haploidentical transplant at Manipal hospital Bangalore.

  • Academic research project during paediatric residency (June 2008 to June 2011);              Studying the effect of various demographic, psychosocial and socio-cultural factors on sexual development of rural boys of a district in Rajasthan, India.

  • Research project during MBBS (March 2006 to June 2006): Participated in baseline assessment of childhood morbidity and mortality in select districts of India under Indian clinical epidemiology network program evaluation network (IPEN).
